Wreck Fishing Adventure: Florida City Spring Evening Action

Steady action throughout the day. Soundarya and I headed out this spring evening around Florida City for some wreck fishing. The partly cloudy skies made for comfortable conditions as we cruised the flats toward our target spots. Perfect weather for getting lines in the water with MTSix and working the wrecks that hold so much promise in gator country. Florida City Flats: Spotted Bass on Fly & Light Tackle Action

What a day on the water! James and their crew joined us for a summer morning trip starting late morning down in Florida City. The weather held steady and conditions looked good for working the flats. We headed out with MTSix ready to put some lines in the water and see what the backcountry had to offer.

With our gear rigged and ready, we focused on sight fishing and fly fishing techniques along with some light tackle casting on the flats. James and crew managed to hook up with spotted bass during our time cruisin' the flats.
